The San Gabriel Valley Anti-Repression Committee is a group of anti-authoritarians hailing from various cities and towns around the SGV.
Our goal is to direct and provide resources toward organizing projects taking place in our locale. We feel that oftentimes, the energy of radicals in the greater Los Angeles area ends up being focused on efforts within the metropolis itself, neglecting the flashpoints in our own neighborhoods.
The San Gabriel Valley has a vibrant history of radical organizing. From El Monte serving as the home to Mexican Anarchist Ricardo Flores Magon, to the recent walkouts of local high school students against the 2016 election results, there is a radical history in the place that we call home.
We wish to broaden and embolden these legacies in our efforts.
